There is a sense of magic in Tzurit Or’s cakes, cookies, tarts and pastries which she learned from her mother. At the age of seven, Tzurit would stay at her mother’s side while she created desserts for events and holidays in their local community in Israel. Tzurit absorbed all the details of her mother’s talent, never thinking she might be using these skills later on in her life.

Fast forward, as an adult Tzurit became an acclaimed film producer. Following a natural path for a filmmaker after 12 years she was drawn to Hollywood so immigrated to the State. Her days in filmmaking were short-lived as she found herself looking for something different to do, she needed a change. Taking up baking was the change she needed, a way of going back to her roots.

In 2007, Tatte Fine Cookies & Cakes was founded in Brookline, MA. Tzurit would bake out of her home kitchen and sell products through farmers markets in the Boston area. Realizing demand was there for her product; in

Urged by her customers, she found a tiny spot in Brookline a year later, and her world and ours has not been the same. Tatte Fine Cookies & Cakes was born and suddenly Tzurit’s reputation and culinary reach stretched far and wide. She seduced by Dean & Deluca and has been prominently featured in their catalogues and NYC stores showcasing over 20 products for the past 4 years, including her cheesecake, considered so special it’s shipped to New York City for diehard cheesecake fans who love her rendition. This speaks to the aura that has become part of Tzurit’s - and now Tatte’s magic.

With a vision to grow and the demand from her customers, in 2012 Tzurit has been able to expand her vision even further. Opening a second bakery and café in Cambridge she expanded her menu serving a full menu of food, influenced by her worldly travels.

Today Tatte has 3 locations and their products can be found at Williams & Sonoma.

Tatte has been featured in The New York Times, O (the Oprah Magazine), the Boston Globe, Daily Candy, Edible Boston, Boston Magazine, as well as the Food Network’s “Unique Sweets” and the acclaimed Boston-area

TV show “Chronicle.” Her catered events and special corporate gifts have pleased a long list of celebrity clients.
